How to Vote

Step-by-step guide to voting on a DAO proposal.

You need to be a verified DAO member first. See Joining the DAO.

  1. Go to monstrodefi.com/dao/vote and open the proposal.
  2. Read the proposal. Discussion happens in its thread in #governance-discussion on Discord.
  3. Click Connect wallet and connect the wallet you verified with. The page shows your staked $MONSTRO, any xMONSTRO, and your voting power. Both are measured as of when voting opened.
  4. Choose For, Against or Abstain.
  5. Click Sign and vote and sign the message in your wallet.

Signing is free and sends no transaction. It cannot move any of your funds.

Your vote appears in the results straight away.

Changing your vote

You can change your vote any time until voting closes. Pick a different choice and click Change vote. Only your latest vote counts.

If you cannot vote

  • "This wallet is not a verified DAO member": verify at monstrodefi.com/dao-verify with this wallet first.
  • "Your staked MONSTRO plus xMONSTRO is below your DAO membership threshold": votes use what you held when voting opened, so adding more now counts from the next proposal.
  • Your voting power shows 0: make sure you connected the same wallet you verified with.

Checking the results

Each proposal page shows the live totals, how close the vote is to quorum, and whether it is currently passing. You can also download every signed vote to verify the count yourself. See DAO Governance for how quorum and passing work.
