DAO Treasury
The financial backbone of the $MONSTRO ecosystem.
The DAO Treasury holds all protocol-owned funds. Every DAO wallet is a public 5-of-7 multisig controlled by the DAO Council, so anyone can verify every transaction. Wallet addresses are listed on the Wallets page.
The structure below was set by MIP-1, the MONSTRO reset.
Reserves
- DAO stake: 50M MONSTRO. Kept as a reserve and never sold. Every reward it earns is burned each month, and it does not vote.
- Emissions reserve. About 15M MONSTRO for the remaining xMONSTRO injections, 10M for future partnerships and promotions (given out only as locked stakes), and about 5.9M for farm compensation.
Reserve MONSTRO can only ever be:
- Burned
- Given as locked stakes
- Paired with USDC as liquidity
- Injected into xMONSTRO
Burns
One-time burns under MIP-1:
- 3.62M MONSTRO held by the DAO Treasury, including its past share of early withdrawal penalties
- 21.02M MONSTRO of rewards earned by the DAO stake (15.18M already claimed, plus its pending rewards)
- 4.47M MONSTRO from the staking rewards pool
About 29.1M MONSTRO in total.
MIP-1 estimated about 20M of surplus in the staking rewards pool. Tier bonuses are paid from the same pool, and compounded rewards stay counted against it, so the pool needs more room than that estimate allowed. 4.47M was burned, 2.03M moved to the emissions reserve to keep the xMONSTRO injection budget at about 15M, and the rest stays in the pool as staking rewards.
Ongoing burns:
- Early withdrawal penalties are burned in full.
- Expired allocations are burned in full. About 65.7M MONSTRO of unclaimed 12-month allocations expires on January 27, 2027.
- DAO stake rewards are burned every month.
- Unclaimed farm compensation is burned when the claim window closes.
DAO bid
The share of Based Loans fees set aside for MONSTRO buys and burns MONSTRO through standing buy orders below the market price. The bid price only ever moves up and is never lowered. It is small today, about $200 a month, and grows only when protocol income grows. It is a commitment, not a price guarantee.
Revenue
The Treasury wallet receives the DAO's share of protocol revenue, starting with Based Loans fees. How that revenue is used will be decided in future proposals.
Monthly update
Each month the Council publishes the same numbers so progress is easy to track:
- Total supply
- MONSTRO staked
- Number of stakers
- Unclaimed allocations
- DAO bid spend
- MONSTRO burned
